Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto your prepared baking sheet or a clean work surface. Do not separate into individual triangles; gently press seams together to form one large rectangle.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the crumbled feta cheese, finely diced roasted red peppers, fresh parsley, fresh dill (if using), and a pinch of black pepper. Mix gently to combine.
  4. Evenly spread the feta and red pepper mixture over the entire surface of the crescent dough, leaving a small border (about 1/2 inch) on one long edge.
  5. Starting from the long edge opposite the border, carefully and tightly roll up the dough into a log.
  6. Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 12 equal rounds (about 1-inch thick each).
  7. Place the swirls cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about an inch apart.
  8. Brush the tops of each swirl with the whisked egg wash. If desired, sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning or sesame seeds.
