Crispy Sesame-Garlic Tofu Bites with Sweet Chili Glaze

Ingredients
- 1 block (14oz) extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 3 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Press tofu between paper towels with a heavy pan for 15 minutes to remove moisture.
- Cut tofu into 1-inch cubes and toss with cornstarch until fully coated.
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add tofu in a single layer and cook 3-4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
- Whisk together soy sauce, vinegar, honey, and sriracha in a small bowl.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and pour sauce over crispy tofu. Toss gently for 1-2 minutes until glaze thickens.
- Remove from heat and immediately sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Garnish with green onions and serve warm with toothpicks.
Chef's Note
For extra crunch, air-fry the cornstarch-coated tofu at 400°F for 12 minutes before glazing!
